Riding the Elements of the Western Dressage Test

YOUTH CLASS (ages 13-18 years)

9:00 am  – 11:00 am

Review of the test which will be available for Youth competition at Fair

Clarify any movements needed

Practice the movements of the test, gaining an understanding of what the judge is looking for

Circles, walk, jog and lope

Lopes, corners keeping balance

Transitions with balance and rhythm

Western Dressage building a partnership….

ADULT CLASS (over 18 years)

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Build horse and rider partnership for all riding disciplines, communication through western dressage exercises, putting all elements together for your partnership.

Western Dressage Elements & Exercises

ADULT CLASS (over 18 years)

2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Develop balance and control with exercises precision with transitions……

Circle into a lope transition

Corners building balance, use to transition

Use of the half halt – what is it, how to use it, timing

$30.00- per clinic attendee (youth clinic only)

$60.00- per clinic attendee (adult clinics)

 Free auditing
Each clinic will be limited to 9 riders

Outdoor covered stalls for $10/day. Must clean and provide your own buckets. Water available.
